Junan (Jacob) Rao, MSc

Junan (Jacob) Rao joined the Transition Accelerator as a project analyst working on multiple Hydrogen initiatives and supporting various hydrogen energy systems research related to hydrogen projects development in Alberta and across Canada. He has a master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Development from University of Calgary and is passionate about achieving sustainability through technological innovation. He has various research interests and experience in hydrogen economy, carbon capture & storage & utilization (CCUS), renewable energy, energy storage, power generation technology, and ESG investment. Prior to joining the Transition Accelerator, he is an independent sustainability and clean technology consultant, and previously worked in the field of material engineering and asset integrity consulting in the energy industry with a focus on industrial coating and pipeline integrity in the last few years.
