In the journey to a net-zero energy system, the integration of clean electricity and clean fuels is pivotal for a competitive economy. The increasing reliance on clean electricity in many sectors such as passenger transportation and building heat is contributing to a surge in demand. However, electrification is not the sole solution. Clean fuels, including biofuels and hydrogen, will be key energy carriers in sectors that are not easily electrified, including heavy industry, heavy transportation, and potentially heating solutions in colder climates.
The Accelerator’s Net-Zero Fuels team is dedicated to driving the development of new supply and value chains (production, distribution, use, storage and potential export) to accelerate the use of net-zero fuels like hydrogen. We focus on sectors that can most benefit from this transition, guided by thorough techno-economic analysis and the realities of local and regional opportunities and barriers.
The Transition Accelerator is looking for a full-time Eastern Canada Hydrogen Lead to spearhead the advancement of hydrogen as a net-zero fuel. This role is ideal for a dynamic, analytically driven individual with a deep understanding of hydrogen energy solutions. If you are passionate about shaping a progressive energy future for Canada, and are keen on playing a pivotal role in a team that is at the forefront of driving change in the energy landscape, the Eastern Canada Hydrogen Lead position could be a great opportunity for you.
