The Transition Accelerator is a pan-Canadian organization that works with others to identify and advance pathways to a prosperous, competitive, net-zero emissions Canada in 2050. We are seeking a motivated individual to help the Accelerator play a pivotal role in leading Canada into the future.
We work with government, industry, Indigenous, and civil society leaders to co-create practical visions of what the future could be, then build stepwise pathways to get there. We see a future where Canada is internationally competitive, with great, permanent jobs in all regions. We see a Canada that has a prosperous, net-zero emissions economy, and healthy people and communities.
In the journey to a net-zero energy system, the integration of clean electricity and clean fuels is pivotal for a competitive economy. The increasing reliance on clean electricity in many sectors such as passenger transportation and building heat is contributing to a surge in demand. However, electrification is not the sole solution. Clean fuels, including biofuels and hydrogen, will be key energy carriers in sectors that are not easily electrified, including heavy industry, heavy transportation, and potentially heating solutions in colder climates.
The Accelerator’s Net-Zero Fuels team is dedicated to driving the development of new supply and value chains (production, distribution, use, storage and potential export) to accelerate the use of net-zero fuels. We focus on sectors that can most benefit from this transition, guided by thorough techno-economic analysis and the realities of local and regional opportunities and barriers.
The Transition Accelerator is looking for a full-time Eastern Lead – Net-Zero Fuels to spearhead the advancement of hydrogen as a net-zero fuel. This role is ideal for a dynamic, analytically driven individual with a deep understanding of integrated energy solutions. If you are passionate about shaping a progressive energy future for Canada, and are keen on playing a pivotal role in a team that is at the forefront of driving change in the energy landscape, the Eastern Lead – Net-Zero Fuels position could be a great opportunity for you.

Agriculture plays a critical part in the Canadian economy. Yet there is a growing realization that existing agricultural practices cannot be extended indefinitely, and that food consumption patterns play a role in agriculture sustainability. There is concern about both the impacts of climate change on farming and of the changes required to control agricultural GHG emissions. And today, there is growing interest in alternative production practices, often under the banner of regenerative agriculture. The Transition Accelerator is seeking to support these emerging sustainability transitions and practices.
We are looking for someone with experience in Canada’s agriculture sector who is familiar with its overall sustainability profile, current challenges, and potential solutions pathways. The ideal candidate is someone who is genuinely excited about working collaboratively with agricultural, farming and agri-food leaders to help them identify shared sustainability goals and implement actions to achieve them.
