Sandra Odendahl

Board Member, Council Member

Sandra is a well-recognised leader in the field of sustainable finance and corporate sustainability in Canada.  After starting her career in the resource sector, she has held a number of leadership roles in the financial services, engineering and non-profit sectors over the past 25 years, including at RBC, Carbon Management Canada, Scotiabank, and most recently BDC.  Her superpower is combining finance knowledge with a practical understanding of how businesses can effectively manage the risks and opportunities associated with environmental and social issues.    

A committed volunteer, Sandra currently serves as a Board member at the Canadian Sustainability Standards Board (CSSB), the Canadian Climate Institute and the Transition Accelerator.   She recently joined the Board of Stllr Gold, a TSX-listed junior mining company, where she also chairs their Corporate Governance Committee.  

Sandra has a Master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Toronto, and is a licensed professional engineer (P.Eng) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. She lives with her husband and two children in Toronto.
