Mihskakwan James Harper, a proud citizen of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation in Treaty 8, Alberta, is the Business Development Manager at NRStor Inc., where he leads large-scale energy storage and clean microgrid projects that empower communities and drive climate action. He serves on the boards of Indigenous Clean Energy and the Pembina Institute.
He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Science in Renewable Energy from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, École Polytechnique, and ESADE Business School. As co-chair of the SevenGen council and co-host of the Decolonizing Power podcast, he supports Indigenous youth leadership in clean energy. A graduate of the 20/20 Catalyst program, Mihskakwan is passionate about a carbon-free future in power and mobility. He draws inspiration from his partner, family, and community in working toward a sustainable and inclusive future.
