The Transition Accelerator welcomes Rose Dortch as Chief of Staff to the CEO

The Transition Accelerator is excited to welcome Rose Dortch as Chief of Staff to the CEO. Her international career spans the energy sector, including work with multiple U.S. utilities and prominent consultancies, and she brings a unique blend of strategic insight and global perspective on trade and industrial policy to the role.

Most recently, Rose served as Head of Global Programmes at the Energy Transitions Commission (ETC) and as Chief of Staff to the ETC Chairman, where she oversaw programs across 10 regions on five continents. Her operational efforts grew the ETC’s partner networks and strengthened their analytical and strategic approaches, while the three major publications she co-authored helped to build an understanding of the energy transition as a competitiveness issue and economic opportunity.

“Rose brings exactly the combination of strategic thinking and operational experience we need as TA continues to grow,” said Moe Kabbara, CEO of the Transition Accelerator. “Having worked alongside Lord Adair Turner at the Energy Transitions Commission, she understands the landscape we operate in and the pace at which we need to move.”

As Chief of Staff to the CEO, Rose will assist senior leadership in strengthening strategic focus and execution across the Transition Accelerator, including advising on organizational effectiveness, coordinating strategic initiatives, and optimizing engagement efforts as the organization scales its impact.

“I am so excited to join the Transition Accelerator and to work alongside a deeply mission-driven team to turn ambitious energy transition goals into practical action,” Rose said of her new role. “Through my work on global recommendations, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of actionable strategy, concrete action plans for delivering measurable change at the national and sub-national levels. Doing this work in Canada, at a time when the country is helping shape the global conversation on climate and economic transformation, feels both timely and hopeful.”
